Safety in Dinner in the Sky

Dinner in the sky® provides clients with the most exclusive experiences ever dreamt in a total safe way. All concepts are designed according German norm DIN 4112. Products are built in Belgium under control of Rheinland TÜV. This obsession for safety is probably one of the reasons why Dinner in the Sky® is now operated in more than 40 countries and got the official authorizations from the toughest countries such as US, Canada, Australia, South-Africa…

Every of 22 guests is seated in the chair and strapped in the seat by 2 vertical and 1 horizontal safety belt. Chair can be turned 180 degrees to better enjoy the view of the city. For more comfortable eating, one can lean forward together with the chair, as well as lean backwards after the meal. It is not allowed to open safety belts and to touch them while the table is lifted. To supervise safety on the table, every lift is managed by experienced Safety manager who is inside the table also strapped to the table with safety harnesses.

Important consideration is ground safety – every land plot is carefully checked for stability and tested with the crane on top of it, in order to make sure, that it is safe to operate. Cranes which are used can never be older than 10 years, and needs to have undergone full functionality check. When the table is lifted no visitors are allowed to enter 15×15 m safety area under it, in order to avoid injuries from potential dropping objects. No lifts are performed during strong wind conditions as well during risk of approaching thunderstorms.
